KATHLEEN McCLOUD

Kathleen McCloud worked with textiles for many years both creating her own pieces and repairing priceless Native American work. This attention to how things are woven together is reflected in her artwork – philosophy, concept, materials, and imagery create a complex whole. Working in paint, print and collage her pieces are multi-layered and multi-meaning.

McCloud graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder and participated in several key Artist Residencies –Chhaap Foundation for Printmaking, Gujarat, India; Santa Fe Art Institute; Jentel Residency, Wyoming and Anderson Ranch, paint installation. Her exhibitions have been varied and numerous.

IN HER OWN WORDS

“As an artist working with metaphor and allegory, the animals in my artwork are allies, capable of transcending time and taking the viewer with them for a new perspective of life on earth at this time.”
