"THREE VIEWS: PAPER, PAINT & WAX"

This exciting show features the work of three artists, who live and work much of the year on Sanibel - the paper collage of Anne Gates Yarnall, the new paintings of Hollis Jeffcoat and the encaustic works of Elizabeth Lambert.
Anne Gates Yarnall has traveled far from her native Philadelphia and over the years visited wild and exotic places. Her collages capture here travels in bits of paper that under her practiced hand and artist eye becoming amazing abstractions.
Celebrated artist, Hollis Jeffcoat has just completed several paintings while on Sanibel. The vibrancy of the Florida color and light found in her earlier work returns, but there is a quality to the new imagery that is both mysterious and familiar.
Canadian artist, Elizabeth Lambert works in encaustic, the ancient method of painting with wax. Her dexterity and artistry with this method enables her to create textured surfaces that add depth and atmosphere to her landscapes and then flattened areas to form silhouettes in her figurative work.
