“Hollis Jeffcoat: New Work from the Red Studio"

With the recent move into her new (yes, red) studio on Sanibel, renowned artist, Hollis Jeffcoat is proof that the adage “change your studio; change your art” is true.  While the brushstroke, color complexity and emotional content in the new paintings in this solo exhibit are pure Jeffcoat, there are considerable differences between these and her earlier works - new colors in her palette, new imagery and most importantly a new freedom and joy in her painting process that is palpable in her work.
